The KYN28A-12 metal-armoured central removable switchgear is an advanced indoor medium-voltage power distribution device designed for three-phase AC 50Hz, 7.2~12kV power systems. It delivers full functions of power reception, distribution, control, protection and monitoring, and is widely deployed in power plants, substations, industrial plants and high-rise buildings.
With a draw-out metal-clad structure and complete “five-prevention” safety interlocks, it is compatible with multiple mainstream vacuum circuit breaker brands. It supports remote control, telemetry, tele-signaling and tele-regulation via field bus communication, combining outstanding reliability, operational safety and configuration flexibility to serve as a core solution for stable medium-voltage power transmission.

  1. Robust Structure with Superior Protection

    Fabricated from imported aluminum-zinc coated steel with precision assembly technology, the cabinet features high mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance and dimensional stability. The overall enclosure reaches IP4X protection grade, effectively blocking dust and solid foreign objects over 1.0mm. Each internal compartment achieves IP2X protection when the breaker door is open, preventing accidental contact with live parts and safeguarding on-site operators.

  2. Reliable Electrical Performance

    Core breaking components adopt high-quality vacuum circuit breakers (VS1/ZN63, VD4 and other brands optional) with long service life and high breaking capacity. Internal busbars and connections use precision fastening processes to ensure stable electrical conductivity and minimize fault risks, guaranteeing continuous and reliable power distribution even under long-term heavy load conditions.

  3. Interchangeable Functional Handcarts

    Supports a full range of functional handcarts including voltage transformer handcart, metering handcart, isolation handcart and station transformer handcart. All units follow unified mechanical and electrical interface standards, achieving reliable interchangeability within the same cabinet series. This modular design flexibly adapts to diverse operation, metering and maintenance demands of different power systems.

  4. Complete “Five-prevention” Safety Interlocks

    Equipped with full mechanical and electrical interlock mechanisms to fulfill mandatory “five-prevention” safety requirements: prevent misoperation of circuit breakers, prevent pulling/pushing handcarts under load, prevent closing earthing switch under live condition, prevent energizing when earthing switch is closed, and prevent accidental entry into live compartments. It maximizes personnel safety during routine operation and maintenance.

  5. Intelligent & Network-ready Design

    The relay compartment supports installation of various microcomputer-based comprehensive protection devices, enabling intelligent fault detection and protection. With built-in CAN bus communication interface, it realizes four-remote functions and can be seamlessly integrated into upper power management systems, supporting centralized monitoring and smart distribution network management.
