The SCB series epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer is a safety-focused, high-efficiency power conversion device for modern distribution systems. It operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction to achieve precise voltage conversion, with windings fully sealed and cured via vacuum epoxy resin casting technology to replace traditional oil-immersed insulation structures, fundamentally eliminating risks of oil leakage, flammability and explosion.
With a rated capacity range of 30kVA to 4000kVA and compatibility with mainstream 10kV and 35kV voltage classes, this product features outstanding fire retardancy, maintenance-free operation, low loss and strong short-circuit resistance.   • No maintenance procedures such as insulation oil replacement or oil filtration are required throughout the entire service life, and the comprehensive operation and maintenance cost is more than 60% lower than that of oil-immersed transformers.

3. Superior Mechanical Strength & Short-Circuit Resistance

  • The winding is cured by vacuum epoxy resin casting and glass fiber reinforcement, with high mechanical strength of the overall structure. It can withstand sudden short-circuit current impact without deformation or damage, and its short-circuit fault tolerance far exceeds that of oil-immersed products.
  • The thermal expansion coefficient of the winding is highly matched with that of copper conductors, with no insulation cracking or peeling under temperature cycles, and the insulation service life is more than 30 years.

4. Intelligent Temperature Control & Full-Time Operation Guarantee

  • Equipped with standard PT100 temperature sensors to monitor the hot-spot temperature of three-phase windings in real time. The supporting intelligent temperature control system realizes three-level protection: automatic fan start/stop, over-temperature alarm, and over-high temperature trip.
  • It supports RS485 communication interface and can be connected to building automation systems and power monitoring systems to realize remote status monitoring and centralized management, suitable for unattended distribution scenarios.

5. Strong Environmental Adaptability

  • It has excellent moisture and dust resistance, operates stably in environments with 100% relative humidity and altitude below 2500 meters, and withstands conventional corrosive gases and dust environments.
  • The operating ambient temperature ranges from -25℃ to 40℃, and specially customized models can adapt to extreme working conditions such as high cold and high altitude.

6. Low-Noise Operation for Sensitive Scenarios

  • The iron core adopts step-lap joint process and high-strength insulating tape binding, and the winding adopts an integrated fastening structure, which effectively reduces magnetostriction vibration and operating noise.
  • For models with a capacity of 2500kVA and below, the operating noise at a distance of 1 meter is ≤50dB, equivalent to the volume of daily indoor conversation, suitable for noise-sensitive scenarios such as hospitals, office buildings and residential areas.

Core Structure & Process Details

  1. Iron Core System

    Made of high-grade CRGO silicon steel sheets with step-lap stacking technology, it minimizes no-load loss and excitation current. The core is tightly bound with insulating tapes to reduce vibration and noise during operation.

  2. Epoxy Cast Winding

    High-purity copper conductors are wrapped with multi-layer insulation and cured by vacuum pressure casting with F/H grade epoxy resin. The fully encapsulated structure delivers excellent insulation performance, moisture resistance and mechanical rigidity, corresponding to the red cylindrical units in the product image.

  3. Cooling System

    Cross-flow cooling fans are installed at the bottom of the windings (visible in the product image), supporting dual cooling modes of natural air cooling and forced air cooling. The fans start and stop automatically according to winding temperature to ensure stable operation under overload conditions.

  4. High-Voltage Terminal & Insulation Bushing

    Red silicone rubber insulation bushings are arranged on the top of the unit, with excellent insulation performance and weather resistance, ensuring safe connection of high-voltage circuits.

  5. Mounting Frame

    High-strength steel clamping frame with anti-corrosion coating provides stable structural support for the whole unit, compatible with standard floor installation and switchgear cabinet integration.
